2004年から10年間、アカデミアでライフサイエンスの研究に従事した後（ハーバード大学医学部での7年間を含む）、2014年に大手外資系製薬企業に転職し創薬におけるオープンイノベーションを推進。2019年に現職に移り、皮膚疾患領域における革新的ソリューションの創出に従事している。ライフサイエンス・エコシステムの構築のために多方面で活動中。
After working in academia for 10 years from 2004 (including 7 years at Harvard Medical School), Taru joined a major global pharmaceutical company in 2014 to foster the translation of basic research in Japan. In 2019, he moved to his current position that spearheads innovation in medical dermatology. He is also involved in a variety of activities to accelerate the growth of the Life Science Ecosystem.
