He began his business career with Proctor & Gamble, moved to the advertising agency business in New York City eventually spending 18-years at Saatchi & Saatchi before setting up his own consulting practice in 1999 called The Wickaboag Consulting Group Inc. He has lived and worked in New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Brussels, Rome, Mexico City, Manila and has traveled to 40+ countries on business projects. He has unique knowledge of the Japanese market and experience working with Japanese clients becoming widely known as Bob-san. He worked with Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan plus its Toyota & Lexus regional offices and distributors around the world from 1982-2017.
