Aiko Katoh started her career at Goldman Sachs in the Tokyo and London offices, where she worked with institutional investors in the Asian equities markets, led corporate governance and risk management projects, and also spearheaded new product initiatives for private wealth customers. She then launched Glossybox, a beauty subscription service backed by Rocket Internet, in the Japanese market as the CEO and led the business to profitability within the first year. She joined Houzz in 2014 to launch its Japan operations as the Japan Managing Director, and was promoted to Managing Director of Asia in 2019.
She has also advised and supported various start-ups in Japan and the US, primarily driving cross-border expansion. She is also a trained personal coach certified with the Co-Active Training Institute.
Aiko holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from INSEAD. In her personal life, she is a proud mother of two children.
