I was born in 1991, I graduated high school and got into KFUPM(King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals) which a year previous was the number one university in Saudi Arabia, but the year I went in, it went down to third place. after a year I decided to try applying for a scholarship to study abroad which I passed and decided to go to Japan because of my love of technology at the time (2010) Japan was as far as I was aware the most famous technological country in the world. after two years of Japanese school, I went to Tokai University to study precision engineering, I ended up going to material science more specifically strength of material.
After graduating I wanted to go to master’s and I had the chance to choose another lab to continue my studies. I applied and discussed the possibility of joining the lab for control systems with the lab teacher. I passed the exam and entered the lab. this was the first time I went deep into robotics. taking classes and researching papers about robotics and I was obsessed. after graduating I stayed in Japan for a while since my original plan was always to go back to Saudi Arabia after finishing my studies. but then decided to stay in Japan. Eventually, I got a job at an electrical and control panels company as an electrical engineer. for two years I worked there but ultimately I wanted to be a robotics engineer. so I started applying for jobs again and thankfully I got a job at an exciting new robotics company that was fully formed a few years ago full of innovative and fresh ideas. and I now have the opportunity to be part of that growth.
