Nick has lived, studied, and worked in Japan for 25+ years. He has spent his entire career assisting start-up companies and new venture projects in getting off the ground, funded, and on the path to success. 2000-2005: Partner, K2 Services Growth Stage Venture Capital, Tokyo, Japan- Nick led investments and projects with several start-ups, including Oneallianz, Inc.(acquired by Hewlett Packard) and Sentient Health, Pte, Ltd. (acquired by Black & Decker).  2005-2018: Co-Founder, Invention Development Fund Japan & Korea, at Intellectual Ventures- Nick was a founding member and first employee of this PE fund investing into the earliest stages of innovation. IDF raised and managed more than $650 million. 2018-2020: Founding employee and Head of Japan, Operem-  Nick advised the founder on Asia strategy prior to launch for this blockchain IP management platform, led the Japan office.  2018- Present: General Manager- Japan, Glydways, Inc.- Nick founded Glydways Japan to expand the footprint of this silicon valley start-up offering autonomous vehicle solutions to cities and private developments. He has established partnerships with or closed investments from several of Japan’s leading automotive, electronics, infrastructure, real estate, and financial companies.  2019- Present: Head of Japan, Boustead Wavefront Pte. Ltd.- Nick heads all Japan dealflow for the Singapore subsidiary of this leading U.S. boutique investment bank.  25+ years in Japan, fluent in Japanese. Strong business, academic, and government network throughout the Asia-Pacific region.  B.A. (International Relations & Asian Studies), Colgate University, USA (1996), with time spent at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan in 1995-96.
