Social Issues x Your Strengths

Through interactive card games and group work, participants can learn to re-recognize their strengths and core. The activities will help you to discover ways to achieve your goals by utilizing your strengths efficiently. It is an enjoyable workshop and also lets us notice our identity from a new perspective.

What does it mean to be a social entrepreneur in Japan? – A Talk Session

Being a social entrepreneur in Japan encompasses a unique set of characteristics and challenges. In this talk session, we will explore the journey and experiences that a social entrepreneur could encounter. The audience will have a chance to listen and raise their questions for our guest speakers about the following topics:

  1. Ideating and testing innovative solutions
  2. Develop the necessary skills and assets to solve the issues
  3. Building collaboration and partnership
  4. Balancing Profit and Purpose
  5. Social Innovation Ecosystem in Japan
  6. Think and go global

Speakers:

Ena Yamaguchi – Kaetsu Ariake High School
Currently a senior student in Kaetsu Ariake High school.
Ena has been passionate to spread the importance of self-confidence, and how it is deeply connected with solving social problems. She hosts workshops named “VUCA HACK”, took the rostrum at Sustainable Brands Japan 2023. She is building her career as a freelance model as well.

Priya Sultan – Founder & CEO, Social Impact Lab Japan
Priya has been a global leader in impact entrepreneurship for over 10 years. She has been focused primarily on enabling young people to build social enterprises which disrupt markets and create a positive impact on society. She has worked with global organizations in the public and private sectors, including United Nations, Hult Prize Foundation, and Recruit Holdings, advising and speaking on the significance of social entrepreneurship in our world today. She believes impact entrepreneurs are changing the world, and is committed to catalyzing more people to get involved with this movement and backing them with the resources they need to scale their impact.

Quynh Trang Ho Thi – Project Manager, Social Impact Lab Japan
Trang is an award-winning graduate of Waseda University School of Social Science and a former Hult Prize Campus Director. With over seven years of living in Japan as an international student, she is currently working with Social Impact Lab Japan as a Managing Director, focusing on supporting social entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and launch their products into the market. As an optimistic problem solver, she is passionate about innovation and sustainable business that create positive changes in people’s lives.
