ABOUT COMMUNITY CAMPUS
An entrepreneurship program for everyone to take their first step into their entrepreneurial journey.
Under the supervision of Professor Yamakawa, associate professor of entrepreneurship at Babson College, ranked No.1 in the U.S. for 31 consecutive years in its unique entrepreneurship education, alumni from graduate and undergraduate schools and experts in the field of entrepreneurship education have formulated a community-based program designed to experience world-class entrepreneurship education all in 10 weeks.
COMMUNITY CAMPUS is a selected project under the “TOKYO SUTEAM: Startup Support Development Project by Diverse Entities,” aimed at realizing Tokyo’s “10×10×10 Innovation Vision to Pave the Way for the Future.”

① ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOUNDATION
｜Overview
Based on Babson’s entrepreneurial education methodology, this program offers valuable learning opportunities and idea generation for entrepreneurship. Through hands-on experience in the business creation process, participants will acquire unique entrepreneurial mindsets and behaviors. Learning alongside diverse peers helps participants position themselves globally and equips them to pursue new opportunities.

There are no restrictions on nationality, age, or industry. We welcome applications from those eager to take on new challenges and who are growth-oriented.

② VENTURE GROWTH ESSENTIALS

A single-session program lasting 1–2 hours, open to anyone interested in startup operations. Typically offered. at Venture Café Tokyo’s Thursday Gathering at CIC Tokyo. Participants can freely choose topics and gain specialized knowledge and practical insights from seasoned entrepreneurs and experienced professionals.

A: No, there are no specific requirements.

A: No, there are no restrictions.
Q: Do I need to have a business idea when applying?
A: You are required to submit a business idea upon application, but changes can be made afterward. Although business ideas are part of the evaluation, we place a strong emphasis on your enthusiasm and commitment.
Q: Can I participate if I am currently employed or a student?
A: Yes, this program is designed to accommodate both professionals and students.
Q: Are there any restrictions on the business’s growth stage for submitting a business plan?
A: We welcome individuals with ideas or plans aimed at starting a business. Those at the project or test marketing stage are also eligible to apply.
Q: Where can I submit my business plan?
A: Please apply via the “Apply Here” link on our website.
Q: Will information about accepted applicants be made public?
A: We plan to publish the names of accepted applicants on our website. Additionally, please be aware that photos and videos taken during the program may be shared publicly. (If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact the program office.)
Q: Where will the program take place?
A: The program will be held at CIC Tokyo, with no archived recordings provided.
Q: What is the duration and time commitment for the program?
A: The program runs for approximately 10 weeks. Participants are expected to engage beyond in-person sessions, which includes group work, mentorship sessions, and independent work on business projects.
Q: Can I cancel or get a refund after acceptance?
A: Cancellations and refunds are not permitted under any circumstances once participation is confirmed.
Q: Will my business idea be protected?
A: We highly respect participants’ ideas and will not disclose them to others without permission. However, given the likelihood of similar ideas emerging and existing in the market, confidentiality agreements solely for idea protection are not anticipated. This program values the execution of ideas over the ideas themselves.
Q: Can I participate as part of a team?
A: We value integrated learning derived from diversity; therefore, team participation is not permitted.
Q: Can I join if I have already started a business?
A: Yes, those who have already started a business are welcome to join the ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOUNDATION.
Q: Are costs associated with business registration covered?
A: Costs related to business registration are not covered; however, we will provide support and guidance on necessary procedures for business launch to the best of our ability.
