Venture Café Global Gathering 2026 to Unite International Innovation Ecosystems in Tokyo

TOKYO, JAPAN | December 31, 2025 — Venture Café Tokyo, in a strategic collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Venture Café Global Institute, is proud to announce that the countdown has officially begun for Venture Café Global Gathering 2026. With exactly 50 days remaining until the February 19th event, momentum is already surging; the Gathering has already seen nearly 300 pre-registrations from ecosystem builders, investors, and founders eager to secure their place in this global exchange.
Taking place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, this flagship event will transform Tokyo into the epicenter of the global startup community. Centered on the theme of “Collective Impact,” the Gathering will convene over 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers to bridge borders and co-create solutions for a better future. As momentum builds, early session titles and overviews are beginning to roll out online, offering a preview of the conversations that will define Global Gathering 2026.
A Milestone in Tokyo’s Innovation Journey
Following the success of the 2025 pilot (Global Gathering 2025), the first public edition of Global Gathering the 2026 event represents a significant expansion. While Global Gathering has historically been an internal knowledge-sharing opportunity for Venture Café’s global teams, the 2026 edition is a full-scale public platform designed to showcase Tokyo’s growing influence as a premier global innovation hub.
Session Highlights Begin to Unveil
As the Gathering approaches, Venture Café is beginning to unveil session titles and high-level overviews for Global Gathering 2026 on its official website. These early program releases offer a first look at the conversations shaping this year’s theme of Collective Impact—from cross-border collaboration and frontier technologies to social innovation and ecosystem leadership. Additional sessions, speakers, and experiences will be announced in the coming weeks, giving participants an evolving preview of what to expect in Tokyo.

Experience the Ecosystem: A Three-Venue Takeover
The Global Gathering will unfold across three distinct venues within the Toranomon district, each offering a unique immersion into the future of innovation:
Toranomon Hills Forum (Hall B) | The Main Stage & Breakout Rooms
The heart of the event features the high-stakes #Pitch2Tokyo Finals, where 18 global champions compete for top honors and connect in Tokyo. Between pitches, dive into the breakout rooms that will feature deep-dives into Japanese Robotics, Life Sciences, and “Glocal” leadership, alongside opening talks by Tim Rowe (Founder & CEO of CIC).
CIC Tokyo | The Tech & Talent Commons
Designed for builders and ecosystem players, CIC Tokyo hosts the Tech Meet-up and IT Career Fair. Programming here focuses on the “Solution Architect of the Future,” featuring reverse pitches from top tech recruiters and sessions on building a culture of innovation, and the evolution of digital transformation (DX) in Japan.
Glass Rock | The Social Innovation Hub
Our newest venue focuses on Collective Impact through a social lens. In this collaborative space, participants will tackle “Common Agendas,” that shape and effect our lives at the local level and global scale. The day concludes here with a dedicated Social Innovation Meet-up to forge partnerships that prioritize purpose alongside profit.

#Pitch2Tokyo: The Global Stage
A marquee highlight of the event is the #Pitch2Tokyo Finals. After months of regional competitions held across Venture Café’s network of 15+ cities, including Cambridge, Berlin, Warsaw, and London, 18 global winners will take the main stage on February 19th. These founders will pitch their high-impact solutions to a panel of judges and a global audience of potential partners and investors. Our judging panel has also taken a change and will include even more stakeholders listening to the startups, they include:

Venture Café Tokyo（所在地：東京都港区、エグゼクティブ・ディレクター：小村 隆祐）とVenture Café Global Institute（所在地：ボストン、ジェネラル・マネージャー：Nathan Plummer）が2026年2月19日（木）、虎ノ門ヒルズフォーラムおよびCIC Tokyoにて開催するグローバル・イノベーション・カンファレンス「Venture Café Global Gathering 2026」までいよいよ50日となりました。
すでに世界各地のエコシステムビルダー、投資家、起業家から約300名の事前登録が集まるなど、国際的な関心と期待が高まっています。
本イベントでは、東京を世界のスタートアップ・イノベーションの中心地へと変貌させます。「Collective Impact（集合的インパクト）」をテーマに、1,000名以上の起業家、投資家、政府関係者が集い、国境を越えた連携と、より良い未来に向けた共創を促進します。現在、公式ウェブサイトではセッションタイトルおよび概要の一部が順次公開されており、Global Gathering 2026を形成する方向性をご覧いただけます。

Global Gathering 2026は、虎ノ門エリアに位置する3つの会場を舞台に開催され、それぞれ異なる視点からイノベーションの未来を体感できます。
虎ノ門ヒルズフォーラム（Hall B）｜メイン会場
イベントのメイン虎ノ門ヒルズフォーラム（Hall B）では、世界各地の予選を勝ち抜いた18組が競い合う「#Pitch2Tokyo ファイナル」を開催。また、日本のロボティクス、ライフサイエンス、「グローカル」リーダーシップをテーマとしたセッションや、CIC創設者兼CEOであるTim Rowe氏によるオープニングトークも予定され、国際的なネットワーキングの拠点となります。
CIC Tokyo｜テック＆タレントの交流拠点
起業家やエコシステム関係者向けに、テック・ミートアップおよびITキャリアフェアを実施。「未来のソリューションアーキテクト」をテーマに、企業によるリバースピッチ、イノベーション文化の醸成、日本におけるDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）の進化などを取り上げます。
Glass Rock｜ソーシャルイノベーション拠点
社会的視点から「Collective Impact」を探求する新会場です。地域からグローバルまで、私たちの暮らしに影響を与える「共通アジェンダ」をテーマに議論を深め、ソーシャルイノベーション領域での国際的なコラボレーションを促進します。
#Pitch2Tokyo：世界を舞台にしたスタートアップ・ピッチ
本イベントのハイライトの一つが、#Pitch2Tokyo ファイナルです。
ケンブリッジ、ベルリン、ワルシャワ、ロンドンなど、Venture Caféが展開する15以上の都市で行われた地域予選を勝ち抜いた18組のスタートアップが、2月19日に東京のメインステージに登壇します。
当日は、影響力のある審査員および世界中の投資家・パートナー候補に向けて、革新的なソリューションをピッチします。審査員には以下の方々をはじめ、多様なステークホルダーが参加予定です。
