Get ready for the regional round of Pitch2Tokyo, hosted by Venture Café Tokyo, where you, together with a panel of judges, will select a local innovator to represent our ecosystem at the Venture Café 2025 Global Gathering in Tokyo!
As announced in October, The Venture Café Global Gathering 2025 (scheduled for February 27, 2025), an event held in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as part of its Global Exchange Activation Project, will feature “Pitch2Tokyo,” a global pitch event showcasing startups selected from domestic and international ecosystems to pitch the innovative ideas from Tokyo to the world. Over the next few months, we will be holding regional rounds for “Pitch2Tokyo” at various Venture Café locations around the globe. Of course for those of you in Tokyo, this is a tremendous chance to showcase your idea with the rest of the World.
Startups participating in “Pitch2Tokyo” should have innovations that can change the world in areas not limited to technology, healthcare, sustainability, and education. The regional round for Tokyo will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Venture Café Tokyo. The application deadline is November 17 (Sunday) at 23:59. ELIGIBILITY
We’re looking for inspiring pre-seed to growth-stage startups with the potential to make a positive impact on people and the planet. To be eligible, you must:
- Have an innovative and/or inspiring vision that’s ready to be amplified.
- Be available to travel to Tokyo on February 27th (and the surrounding dates) if you win.
- Apply to the Venture Café that is active in your city or region.
- Be able to pitch in English.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS
- Apply to pitch your startup or idea at a Venture Café location.
- Pitch live in front of an engaged audience and a panel of judges at your local Venture Café.
- The judges and community votes on who should go to Tokyo! 🗳️

Regional winners will be selected jointly by a panel of judges and you in the audience! Each pitch participant will be judged based on the basis of:
- Demonstrated Need – How will pitching at Global Gathering 2025 accelerate their growth? What is the meaningful interest in engaging with the Tokyo/Japan market, but furthermore connecting with the rest of the World?
- Demonstrated Impact: How does/will the startup/innovation positively impact people and/or the planet? Why will they be a great representative of innovation for your city?
More than just a competition, Pitch2Tokyo is about amplifying the impact of innovation. It connects change-makers, fosters collaboration, and highlights the power of working together to spark progress. By uniting bold ideas, we cultivate a collective spirit of inspiration and action.

先日お知らせしたThe Venture Café Global Gathering 2025（東京都の『グローバル交流活性化事業』採択事業として2025年2月27日開催予定）では、目玉イベントとして国内外のエコシステムから選抜されたスタートアップが東京から世界に向けて発信するグローバルピッチイベント『Pitch2Tokyo』を実施。今後、数ヶ月にわたり、世界中のVenture Café各拠点にてこの『Pitch2Tokyo』の予選会を各地で実施して参ります。もちろん、東京にいる皆さんにとっては、あなたのアイデアを世界にアピールする絶好のチャンスです。
